The DSi
Hey guys, I know I'm going a little off topic by reviewing the dsi since it's not a game. But I was in New York and I got to actually hold the DSi and play with it! The guy in New York said that the price will be $169.99. So here's some pictures of the DSi and while you're looking at them I'll talk about it.
The DSi has many features. You can take pictures of anything using the outside camera shown below. I marked the outside camera in a red circle.

But that's not all, there's actually another camera on the inside so that you can take pictures of yourself. I’ve also marked the camera in a red circle.

You can also edit all of the pictures that you take with either 2 cameras. You can put different frames on the picture like putting a Mario mask on your friend's picture.
Sadly the DSi doesn't come with an internet browser but you can buy it for $5. There will be a "DSi" store where you can buy games and other things, just like the Wii store. You’ll be able to play music on your DSi and will also be able to change the music around using different sound effects. Using the mic on the DSi you’ll be able to record yourself and also change that recording.
There are only a couple bad things about the DSi as I said before it doesn't come with an internet browser. You also won't be able to play all of your GBA, or game boy advance, games. So you'll have to keep one of the past generations of game boys.
Here’s a picture of the DSi and DS lite side by side.

As you can see the DSi looks the same as a regular DS lite but there are some differences. Its finish is made of a different material than the DS lite. The DS lite has a more slippery feel to it, whereas the DSi is smoother. Because of this, the DSi won't smudge as easy. Battery-wise the DSi and the DS lite are the same as in how long you can play. If you look at the screens closely than you’ll notice that the DSi screens are slightly bigger than the DS lite screens. Because of this, the actual body of the DSi looks bigger, due to the screen sizing.
Obviously I can’t rate this handheld because its not out yet. So instead I’ll give you a tip. Since the DSi is a big deal, like the Wii, you should preorder it first so you know that you’ll get it. Well, thanks for reading my review. And I hope all of this information is useful to you. Remember, you can get the DSi on April 5th 2009 for $169.99.
